Backbone

April was commissioned to create a piece for the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce to commemorate their 100-year anniversary. Each hand-blown glass “bone” in this abstract spine represents one year of their existence. The imagery of the backbone symbolizes the organization’s relationship to the city of Detroit.
