Each And All

Each And All

The title for this piece is based on a poem by Emerson about the beauty found in nature, how we perceive it, and what it becomes when it is seen in a new light. Feathers symbolize freedom and hope, possibility and opportunity. Hung to capture the motion of flight, like brushstrokes with colors that push, pull, and play with us, creating stories in our minds of who we are at that moment. Our ever-changing perceptions offer us new insights if we are open to letting go of what we have been told a thing is called and what it means and discovering it anew for ourselves.
